Wyndham Lambert Beach Resort

Share

All eyes were on the Wyndham Lambert Beach Resort as it resoundingly opened for business on November 1st of this year. The 14-plus acre resort, located along the northeast shore on one of the Virgin Islands most unspoiled beaches, welcomed overseas guests in their newly completed rooms, as well as diners from both near and far to their tropical open-air restaurant. When the hotel closed temporarily for renovations in 2016, they didn’t expect an Irma strike one year later. Fabio Arduini, the director of Elizabeth Beach Resort Limited, the property’s ownership company, and his hard-working staff are a testament to the resilience of the Virgin Islands.

Drive down the winding road to the resort and at sea level, the land opens up to a welcoming reception and beautiful new gardens that envelope a grand stone Clubhouse built to the honour the ruin that is built into its new walls. Stylishly decorated, the Clubhouse is a lounge for hotel guests and is available to be converted easily for weddings, corporate functions or a comfortable conference room for up to 120 persons, complete with audio and video equipment.

A few steps down the pathway toward the beach, the Turtle Restaurant is now open to the public all day, every day, starting with breakfast at 7 a.m. and continuing right through dinner until 10 p.m. Entry is by way of an oversized bar, private love seat and coffee table lounge areas and at night guests can cozy up to the central fire pit feature. Dine under the roof of the main hotel restaurant or request one of the ocean-facing, full-service, private dining gazebos out on the beach.

Featuring international cuisine, the chefs carefully choose their dishes to include the finest local produce, fish and meats grilled to perfection, freshly harvested greens and, of course, real Italian pizzas.

The spa with its abundant menu of treatments is open to the public by appointment. With both inside and outdoor seaside treatment rooms, the soothing sounds of ocean waves add real-time ambiance to any massage, facial or scrub.

Visiting hotel guests enjoy neatly Italian inspired room decor, air conditioning, WiFi, individual patios, a tennis court and the Virgin Islands’ largest freshwater swimming pool, complete with swim-up bar.
