“You will see some major changes with some new products and services,” General Manager of FLOW BVI Tim Ringsdore said at the official launching of FLOW.
Telecommunications giant-LIME has been officially signed out of the building, and the new FLOW, has arrived with a bang and instead of black and white, they are now an eye-catching shade of blue and white. The Tortola Pier Park parking lot was the “not to have been missed spot” on Friday 13th May 2016, as FLOW announced their presence with a massive concert featuring top acts such as Peter Ram of Barbados and Duane Stephenson of Jamaica.
“I’m not going to make a long speech but we will promise you that FLOW is not just a brand; it is a new way of bringing telecommunications to the islands, and I promise you that we are going to give more investments, we are going to give you much more improved customer experience, over time and I just ask for your patience and I thank you for your support so far,”General Manager of FLOW, BVI Tim Ringsdore said at his turn on the microphone. “You will see some major changes with some new products and services we are going to bring and in the next year you are going to see FLOW TV coming to the islands.”
The concert which started at about 8 in the evening, ended well into the wee hours of Saturday morning saw performances from the Razor Blades, Peter Ram, Duane Stephenson and VIBE which had the lively crowd dancing to the rhythms of the night.
Peter “Peter Wiggins” Ram who is also a FLOW Ambassador gave the crowd a real show with his most popular tunes like-All Ah We, Music Pumping and Woman by my Side told VI Life & Style Magazine that he was pleased with his performance. “My thing is to get the crowd involved, and I figured that the crowd was too far so I at one point jammed with the people and I love to party with the people. I love to touch the people and hug the people and I just love that. So that’s what I did, the crowd loved it and I told the people (FLOW) to give the people something, and I came back on, do my thing and the crowd was happy and they really enjoyed it,” He remarked. “As the King, three times winner in Barbados, I am the Party Monarch, also the 2015 Stag Jam Tune King, and the 2015 J’Ouvert Monarch King, also the Entertainer of the year, so I got to defend my crown, so I’m coming out heavy, trust me and nuff respect to the BVI people, because if it wasn’t for them it would not happen.”
Jamaican Reggae superstar-Duane Stephenson brought a cooler performance, but a much-appreciated one with his hits like Cottage in Negril, August Town, Ghetto Pain. “It was a good performance,” He told this magazine. “You know the local band they did very well, big up to them same way because the whole thing was put together on short notice but nevertheless the people enjoyed themselves and that’s what we do, we make the people enjoy themselves. So yes it was a good performance and I am hoping come back here soon. Good vibes every time.”
Both artists were backed up by the Extreme band.
